Take in the life like representations of Jennifer Gillooly Cahoon, a self taught painter and owner of HeARTspot Art Center and Gallery. Learn more about her inspiration and process as well as how she unexpectedly became a professional painter and business owner after nearly 20 years as a public educator. Jennifer lives and works in East Providence, Rhode Island.

We'll also hear from Sarina Mitchel - Find out more about your favorite, friendly, neighborhood, imaginary creature directly from the source! In this portion of the artist talk, Sarina will describe the whys and hows of her cartoon creation and share additional details about her vision and artistic process.

“Is it on wheels?”
“Is this an elephant?”
“Is he a polar bear?"
“A wave?”
“A chair?”
“What is this creature?”

Many questions have been asked about Ms. Proboscis. What is she? Who is she? Haven’t I seen her somewhere before? And is she secretly hell-bent on world domination?

For answers to these and many other questions please join us on April 4th.

Light refreshments will be available.
