Kim Trusty with Special Guest Cathy Clasper-Torch.
Kim Trusty's foray into songwriting started at a young age and eventually brought her to New England to study songwriting at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where she was referred to as “the girl with the golden voice.”
She has spent the last three decades residing in Providence Rhode Island refining her musical skills, crafting and branding her own style of Jazz, R&B, Blues and original music. Trusty’s reputation has moved well beyond the Ocean State as a consummate technician, vocalist, lyricist and songstress.
Kim will be performing with Cathy Clasper-Torch. Cathy is a mult-instrumentalist (violin, piano, cello & erhu) who has been teaching and performing for over 35 years. She combines her love of many genres - world-folk, rock, jazz, and classical - in her playing and improvising. Cathy collaborates with a wide array of groups and musicians and is the fiddle instructor at the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland, RI teaching beginner to advanced group-fiddle classes to adults. www.cathyclasper-torch.com
